This one does take a little while but it is super worth it and will impress whoever you are going to make it for!
- 1 Medium Octopus (whole but cleaned)
- 1 tin Chopped Tomatoes
- 2 tbsp Honey
- Half a glass Red Wine
- 1 Bell Pepper
- 1 Red Onion
- 2 Cloves Garlic (Crushed)
- 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
You’re going to need to start off with the octopus. Bring a pan of salted water to the boil and add the octopus. Simmer the octopus of around 45 minutes and then remove and leave to cool.
For the sauce mix all the other ingredients together bring to the boil in a saucepan and then reduce by 2 thirds. Once the sauce has reduced leave to one side, covered.
Next, cut the octopus up, cut the hood into thin strips and separate each individual tentacle. In a frying pan heat some oil and then fry the octopus until golden and crispy before plating on top of the reduced sauce.
