Portly Cooks | Sea Bream with Braised Fennel and Samphire

Here’s a simple Sea Bream dish for your dinner…

  • Sea Bream
  • 1 Bulb Fennel
  • 100g Samphire
  • 1 Chicken Stock Cube
  • Water
  • Star Anise

Chop the fennel and fry in a little butter for about 3 minutes. Make up the stock and add to a deep sided baking tray along with the star anise. Add the fennel and cook at 180c for 20 minutes.

With about 5 minutes left on the fennel, cook the fish and zap the samphire in some boiling water in the microwave for 3 minutes. Drain the fennel and samphire, plate up and top with the bream.
