Crispy Chilli Beef

This one is honestly a vital part of my Chinese takeout order. Crispy chill beef is one of the best dishes you can make and it’s all stuff you hopefully will have in the cupboard.

  • 200g Beef (I used skirt)
  • ½ cup Rice
  • 2 tbsp Sweet Chilli Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha
  • 1 tbsp Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder/ 1 clove Garlic (crushed)
  • 1 tsp 5 Spice

Start off by finely cutting up the beef into very thin strips. Leave to one side and cook the rice, add 1 cup of water to the rice, bring to the boil then turn down and simmer for 9 minutes. Once done stir and cover.

In a saucepan bring together all the ingredients except the beef and simmer for a couple of minutes on a high heat, once the sauce comes together leave to one side.  Finally cook the beef in a wok until crispy.  Coat in the sauce and serve with the rice.
