For when you have a bunch of beef mince in the fridge that needs using up and you really can’t be bothered to cook. These will satisfy, and save you driving to the drive-thru.
Makes 4
- 500g Beef Mince
- 4 Brioche Buns
- 4 Slices Burger Cheese
- Salt and Pepper
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
It barely needs explanation to be honest. Put the beef into a large bowl, season liberally with the salt and pepper and add the garlic powder. Get your hands involved and mix the meat with the seasoning. Roll the meat into 4 balls of roughly equal size.
Heat a grill pan or heavy bottomed pan, add each meatball to the pan and flatten with a spatula and leave to cook for about 2 minutes either side. Heat the oven to 200c while the burgers cook. Put all the burgers onto a baking tray and top with the cheese. Stick them in the oven for a minute or two to melt the cheese. Finally slice the buns and once the cheese has melted stick the burgers in them.
