The classics are called the classics because they are just that… Classic. I went to The Free Press in Cambridge for a bite to eat a few weeks ago and decided there was only one thing that would sate my hunger and that was of course, classic fish and chips.
The Free Press’ version of the British staple didn’t disappoint; crunchy, crispy batter surrounding a perfectly cooked and flaky piece of fish, Heaven on a plate! The sides weren’t slacking either, mushy peas and tartare sauce made from some epic eating along with some skin on fries with just the right amount of crunch!
The Free Press is a great place to go for a quite few drinks with your friends, the atmosphere is lovely and the staff are all mega friendly with the food being the icing on the cake, so if you’re around the Grafton end of Cambridge and fancy some top notch nosh and a crisp pint head to The Free Press.
The Free Press is at 7 Prospect Road, Cambridge.
