Mangiare Mushroom Risotto

So a good while ago now along with @haleybell_ig  I ventured to Mangiare in Newmarket.  It had recently opened and everyone had told me that I should go and check it out. So with a table booked on a rather chilly Saturday evening it was time for dinner.

Walking in I didn’t realise quite how big the place is, it has a lovely outside balcony style area (great in the summer time for a little Aperitivo after work! The restaurant itself is on two levels with the bottom level next to the open kitchen, so you can see the chefs and Pizzolos working away creating your food.

As we were seated we were given some olives to nibble while we browsed the menu.  I decided I would have the Risotto ai Funghi, I love risotto and its not something I can make at home (other than using those god awful just add water packets…sorry).

The risotto at Mangiare is fabulous, perfectly cooked rice, with mushroom and chicken surprises to be discovered as you dig into the dish.  The portion sizes are also huge and surprisingly cheap too! My risotto was only £10.90 and once I’d finished it I was thoroughly stuffed!

If you’re in Newmarket and looking for some top Italian food, walk up to Exeter Road and get yourself a table at Mangiare, you will not be disappointed!
