I have never forgiven Jamie Oliver for getting the Turkey Twizzler banned. They were a childhood favourite of mine, and not meant to be eaten every single day for dinner, but as a treat. Well now I have worked out how to make these nostalgic treats at home!
- 6 Chicken/Turkey Sausages
- 200g Breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp Chicken Seasoning
- 1 Egg (Beaten)
In a pan of boiling water poach the sausages. Once they are poached leave to cool and then take off the skins. Put the sausages on to wooden skewers and cut a spiral in the meat using a sharp knife. Season the breadcrumbs with the chicken seasoning and beat the egg.
Leave the sausage on the sticks and extend the spiral, roll the sausages in egg and then the breadcrumbs, once all of the sausages have been cut and breadcrumbed. Bake in the oven at 200c for about 10 minutes.
