The other week I went on a pizza tasting day in Cambridge with Cambridge City Living. Our first stop was Tradizioni on Mill Road and what a first stop it was! I’ll be honest I’ve driven by Tradizioni many times and it’s been on my list of places to eat for ages, finally I’ve been in!
The décor is smart and simple with a variety of Italian products on shelves for you to buy. As I write this, there are Panettones ready for you to take home as part of your Christmas dinner.
We sat down by the window and were brought two stunningly good pizzas. One pepperoni, with a crispy crunchy base and the perfect amount of cheese. One with rocket, stracchino cheese and some prosciutto to lie over the top.
Both pizzas were fantastic, my favourite though was the stracchino cheese (stracchino cheese is soft creamy cheese used in Lombardy and Liguria to mention a couple of places) and rocket pizza, the cheese was super creamy and the base was perfectly cooked. I have a soft spot for a square pizza too.
Tradizioni honestly serves one of the best pizzas in Cambridge, it has made me realise I need to get down Mill Road more often, not only to chow down on their pizza but to see what other delights I can find along there.
