Slow cooked pork chop what else do you need?
- Pork Chop
- 1 Tin Chopped Tomatoes
- Bacon Lardons
- ½ Red Onion
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 4 caps Red Wine
- 2 Caps Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- ½ Paprika
- 40g Grated Parmesan
- 75g Linguine
- Salt and Pepper
Now for this one there’s a little prep before you leave it to do its thing. Seal the pork chop on either side in a hot pan. Once done, leave to one side. Chop the onion and along with the bacon lardons fry until the onion is translucent.
Add the tomatoes, paprika and garlic, stir and reduce the sauce by a third. Next, add the ketchup, balsamic and wine. Reduce again by about half, you want a thick(ish) sauce. Lay the chop in the slow cooker and cover with the sauce. Leave for about 6 hours on low.
When you’re ready for dinner, boil the linguine in some salted boiling water until just cooked. Transfer to a hot pan and add some of the sauce to coat the pasta. At this point add half of the parmesan and stir well. Finally plate the pasta, lay the chop on top with some more of the sauce and sprinkle the remaining parmesan over the top.
