Pork Pies the snack of choice smothered in brown sauce. I’ve found that they’re surprisingly easy to make!
- 220g Lard
- 200ml Water
- 500g Plain Flour
- 2 Sausages
- Egg for basting
Heat your oven to 180c and then melt the water and lard together. While the lard melts put the flour in a bowl and de-skin the sausages. Make four pie cases with the pastry in a muffin pan. Put half a sausage in each case and top with a pastry lid. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes, baste with egg then bake for a further 20 minutes.
