Portly Cooks | Chicken and Mushroom Spirali in a Garlic Cream Cheese Sauce

Creamy Mushroom Spirali

Pasta in a creamy sauce is something I crave from time to time this one though is super easy and takes no time at all.

  • 75g Spirali Pasta
  • 250g Mushrooms
  • 150g Chicken Breast
  • 60g Soft Cheese
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • Salt and Pepper

To start off, chop the mushrooms finely into little dice, or if you fancy thin slices. Next, cut the chicken into thin strips. In a hot wok cook the chicken in a little oil adding the mushrooms about half way through.

In another pan cook the pasta in some boiling salted water until al dente. Drain the pasta and leave to one side. While all of this is happening, boil the kettle. Put the cheese, garlic, salt and pepper into a bowl and then pour about 50ml of boiling water over the cheese. Stir until it makes a loose sauce.

Once the chicken and mushrooms are done, add the pasta and then gradually add the cheese sauce. Make sure that everything is coated well. Put it all in a bowl and enjoy!
