Now I can’t really call this a burger because essentially its mushrooms in a roll. However, it is double stacked! I fancy something different and maybe a little bit healthier than a hunking great slab of fried beef mince. The Portobello Mushrooms answered the call.
- 2 Portobello Mushrooms
- 2 Slices Burger Cheese
- Handful of Rocket
- 1 Bread Roll
- 1 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp BBQ Sauce
It’s pretty simple really. Peel the mushrooms and remove the stalk. In a hot pan and a little oil, fry the mushrooms until cooked, around about 5 minutes. Slice the roll in half and on one side put the mayo and the other the BBQ sauce.
Now it’s time to stack your bun. Rocket, cheese, then mushroom, more cheese, mushroom two and then the lid. Grab yourself a bib and assume the burger hunch at patented by Guy Fieri on Triple D and tuck in!
