Bolognaise, it’s a classic and if I’m honest one of those things I’m always like… oh Bolognaise yay… But I always love it and done right it’s the best thing. This one takes some time but it’s definitely worth it.
- 250g Ground Beef
- 1 Rasher Smoked Bacon (cut into lardons)
- 1 White Onion
- 1 tin Chopped Tomatoes
- 25ml Port
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Mixed Herbs
- 1 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Ketchup
- 1 tsp Granulated Garlic
Start off chopping the onion and then in a hot pan fry until translucent. Add the bacon and mince and cook until browned. Add the tomatoes and port and reduce. Finally add the herbs, paprika, garlic, ketchup and balsamic and give it all a good stir.
Transfer to the slow cooker and leave on low for 10 hours. Once that’s done, in some salted boiling water cook your pasta. I used Linguine, add the bolognese and then stick it in a bowl and enjoy!
