Having recently dug the slow cooker out from the cupboard it’s time for another slow cooker recipe. This time it’s BBQ chicken.
- 3 Chicken Legs
- 2 Chicken Thighs
- 1/2 Packet Flava it BBQ Seasoning
- 50ml Reds Kansas City BBQ Sauce
- 25ml Ketchup
- 25ml HP Sauce
Put the chicken in a freezer bag and add the BBQ seasoning. Give it a good shake to make sure that the chicken is well coated. Put the chicken in your slow cooker and cover with the BBQ sauce. Turn on the slow cooker and leave to cook on high for about 6 hours.
When you’re about to serve, drain the slow cooker of the liquid that will have built up during cooking. Put that in a saucepan and add the ketchup and HP sauce and reduce on a high heat until it’s the consistency of runny honey. Put the chicken on a plate and cover with the sauce. Done.
