Portly Eats | Brunch at Co | Cherry Hinton, Cambridge

Brunch at Co

Brunch is honestly the best meal to go out and eat, yesterday I went to Co. in Cherry Hinton, Cambridge along with Cambridge bloggers and foodies; Charlotte, Haley and Eleanor (Links at the bottom give ‘em a follow they’re all lovely!) for a bite to eat.

I’ll be honest I’ve driven by Co, thousands of times in a bid to try and beat the terror that is Cambridge traffic but until yesterday, hadn’t ever actually stopped. Co. is a fab little eatery, its menu is one side of A4 which for me is always a good sign. I get worried when you eat somewhere and the server gives you a copy of War and Peace, to choose from.

That being said, it took me a good while to decide what to have, there were so many tasty options aside from (in my opinion of course) the avocado on toast… I still haven’t got onto the green mush on toast bandwagon.

Eventually I managed to make my mind up and went for the Tacos. Two house made soft tortilla, topped with black beans and perfectly boiled free range egg. I had mine minus the avocado because well ^^. The tortilla came with salsa fresca which had a kick to it I loved and greek yoghurt to calm it all back down again.

Co. prides itself on sustainability and using local fresh ingredients, everything is made to order and if you are vegetarian or vegan this place is definitely for you, there are plenty of options. The staff were very friendly indeed and made us feel really welcome.

The restaurant is really nicely decorated and wouldn’t look out of place down in London, with plenty of plug sockets for laptops and free wifi, always a bonus! I had a double espresso after we had eaten it was lovely, super strong and came in a super cute little cup too. If you fancy something different from the average fare you get for brunch in town, definitely pop in and chow down.
