Portly Cooks | Buffalo Chicken and Bacon Spaghetti

Buffalo Chicken and Bacon Spaghetti

Some would call this dish a mess, some would ask what the hell are you doing? And some will actually like it. This is Fusion to make the gods weep.  It’s got elements of some of my favourite foods all in one slightly overcrowded bowl.

  • 1x small chicken breast
  • 1 rasher back bacon
  • 20ml buffalo sauce
  • 20ml soy sauce
  • Handful fresh spinach
  • 75g spaghetti
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika

This is another one of my, just chuck it all in a pan and see what happens dishes. You’re going to need to start with the chicken and the bacon, they need to be cut into thin strips. With the pasta break the spaghetti strands into quarters, they will cook faster and be easier to coat in the sauce too.

Cook the pasta in some seasoned water and leave to one side once its done. In a large pan cook the bacon and the chicken seasoning with the garlic powder and smoked paprika.  In a small bowl mix the buffalo sauce and soy sauce together.

Finally add the spinach and wilt it down then, add the pasta and the buffalo soy mixture, give everything a good stir until well coated, put into a bowl and enjoy!

  1. Sounds good to me, though I am, as ever, confused by the lack of actual buffalo. 😉
