Brunch is always a great thing to do on a weekend; Newmarket has plenty to offer if you are looking for a tasty brunch, Nancy’s Vintage Teashop is a great way to spend a Saturday or Sunday morning. The decor is cosy and quaint and I love the fact that the crockery looks as though it could have easily come from your grannies house.
The menu offers plenty of choice for anyone after a decent brunch; I would highly recommend the breakfast tier. It’s a three tier breakfast starting at the top with your choice of cereal and fruit, on the second tier there is a selection of pastries, including my favourite a Pain au Chocolat. Finally on the bottom bacon and sausage sandwiches!
As always when I go out for brunch, I had the eggs Benedict with bacon. Wonderfully thick Hollandaise, covering perfectly poached eggs sitting atop 2 lightly toasted English muffins. To wash it down I had the ‘Dain-Tea’ which is a speciality Earl Grey style blend, you get a generously sized pot of it too!
Nancy’s really is a lovely spot tucked away at the top of the town in Newmarket, perfect for a pre-racing breakfast, a leisurely brunch or an afternoon treat! Enjoy!
