Homemade Chips

You can’t get much easier to make and they really are worth it!  On their own with some salt, smothered in Ketchup or sprinkled with grated cheese.  You can’t go wrong with a bowl of chips. You’ll need:

  • 2 large potatoes
  • Oil

Start off by peeling your spuds, then cut them into slices of around 1 cm thick.  Then cut the slices into chips again around 1 cm wide. Once you’ve done that heat your oil in a wok (or deep fryer) and fry the chips until they are a golden in colour. Once cooked leave to drain on some kitchen towel or on a wire grill on a baking sheet in the oven if you are keeping them warm to use as a side.
